Junior theatre is a Mareeba Theatre Group initiative to allow young people to experience theatre. It operates on a Thursday for 6 weeks per term - in term 1, 2 and 3 of each school year and costs $5 per lesson. School students are broken up into two categories (primary and secondary) - with the primary student's lesson being 3.30pm - 4.00pm and the highschool student's lesson being 4.15pm - 5.30pm on the Thursday. With both groups merging in term 3 of each year in preparation for their production.
Throughout the year student's workshop the elements and skills of drama and performance and learn to work together to create a production. If you need more information go to our facebook page and send a message and someone will get back to you.
Please note that students must pay the membership fee in order to be able to attend the workshops.
